Park University Senior Art Students to Hold Pair of Exhibits
April 28, 2025 — Park University will host a pair of exhibits over the next few months showcasing the work of six senior art students. Both exhibits, which are open to the public, will take place in the Campanella Gallery, located inside Norrington Center on Park’s flagship Parkville Campus.
The first exhibit — Monday, May 5, through Friday, June 6 — will feature the works of Lucie Garrett, senior fine art major, Kansas City, Mo. (attended Park Hill South High School, Riverside, Mo.); Rhiannon Lewis, senior fine art major, Kansas City, Mo. (attended Liberty [Mo.] High School); and Danielle Smith, senior fine art major, Kansas City, Mo. (attended Hogan Prep Academy). A reception for the trio will be held on Friday, May 9, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Gallery.
Garrett is a mixed media artist who combines ceramics, sculpture and fiber to explore maximalism. Lewis creates colorful, bright works inspired by coy fish using fiber, ceramics and other mediums. Smith’s art explores fashion and textiles.
The second exhibit — Monday, June 16, through Friday, July 18 — will feature the works of Sofia McCroskie, senior K-12 education/art major, Kanas City, Mo. (attended Liberty [Mo.] North High School); Cameron McMeekin, senior fine art major, Springfield, Mo.; and Cheri Regis (art depicted above), senior digital marketing and fine art major, Parkville, Mo. (attended New Hartford [N.Y.] High School). A reception for the trio will be held on Friday, June 20, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Gallery.
McCroskie is a multimedia artist. McMeekin examines themes of nature through photography. Regis is a painter, doll-maker and multidisciplinary artist.
The Campanella Gallery is open during Norrington Center’s regular business hours:

• The building will also be closed — Monday, May 26, for the Memorial Day holiday; Thursday, June 19, for the Juneteenth holiday; Friday, July 4, for the Independence Day holiday
