BOT Adds New Members

The governing body of Park University — its Board of Trustees — has elected two individuals to serve as members of the Board. W. Ann Hansbrough, J.D., and retired Col. Andrew Shoffner were both elected to serve a three-year term on the board, effective July 1.

Kay Barnes New Role

Former Kansas City, Mo., Mayor Kay Barnes, who has been serving Park University as its senior academic ambassador and liaison, has been appointed as the University’s senior director for university engagement. Barnes began her new role within the University’s Office of University Engagement on July 1.

Hill AFB Graduates 2018

Park University’s Hill Air Force Base (Utah) Campus held its commencement ceremony on June 15 at the Davis Conference Center in Layton, Utah. The University had 68 students eligible to participate in the ceremony — two students received a master’s degree, 50 students received a bachelor’s degree, five students received a bachelor’s degree and an associate degree, one student received a bachelor’s degree and an undergraduate certificate, and 10 students received an associate degree.

Park University’s Davis-Monthan Air Force Base (Ariz.) Campus held its commencement ceremony on June 9 at the Fox Tucson (Ariz.) Theater. The University had 26 students eligible to participate in the ceremony — one student received a master’s degree, 24 students received a bachelor’s degree and one student received an associate degree.

Park University’s Scott Air Force Base (Ill.) Campus held its commencement ceremony on June 7 at The Regency Conference Center in O’Fallon, Ill. The University had 38 students eligible to participate in the ceremony — one student received a master’s degree, 33 students received a bachelor’s degree, one student received a bachelor’s degree and an associate degree, and three students received an associate degree.

Park University’s Fairchild Air Force Base (Wash.) Campus held its commencement ceremony on June 7 at the Base Theater. The University had 21 students eligible to participate in the ceremony — one student received a master’s degree, 18 students received a bachelor’s degree, one student received a bachelor’s degree and an associate degree, and one student received an associate degree.

Park University’s F.E. Warren Air Force Base (Wyo.) Campus held its commencement ceremony on June 5 at the Trails End Club on the base. The University had 24 students eligible to participate in the ceremony — all receiving a bachelor’s degree.

Cherry Point Campus Graduates 2018

Park University’s Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point (N.C.) Campus held its commencement ceremony on May 31 at the Two Rivers Theater and Event Center in Havelock, N.C. The University had 57 students eligible to participate in the ceremony — six students received a master’s degree, 40 students received a bachelor’s degree, 10 students received an associate degree, and one student received an associate degree and undergraduate certificate.

BCC and VVC Graduates 2018

Park University’s Barstow (Calif.) Community College Campus and Victor Valley College (Calif.) Campus held a joint commencement ceremony on May 31 at the BCC Performing Arts Center. The University had 49 students eligible to participate in the ceremony — one student received a master’s degree, 45 students received a bachelor’s degree, two students received a bachelor’s degree and an undergraduate certificate, and one student received an associate degree.
