Gilbert Campus Leadership

Park University President Greg Gunderson, Ph.D., has announced the promotion of two staff members to new leadership positions at the University’s Gilbert (Ariz.) Campus. Sue Wilcox has been appointed as vice president of the campus, while Ben Zibers has been appointed associate vice president of the campus, both effective April 1.

Johnson Lecture 2020

Established nearly 50 years ago (December 2, 1970) to consolidate in one agency a variety of federal research, monitoring, standard-setting and enforcement activities to ensure environmental protection, the Environmental Protection Agency works to provide a cleaner, healthier environment for the American people. On Tuesday, March 31, Park University will host Jeffery Robichaud, director of the EPA’s Region 7 Water Division, for an insider’s view of the history of environmental protection and the imperative for science to drive the next 50 years as part of the University’s fifth annual Johnson Family Lecture Series in Science. The talk will begin at 7 p.m. in the Jenkin and Barbara David Theater inside Alumni Hall on the University’s Parkville Campus. Admission to the lecture is free and open to the public.

Womens History Month Lecture 2020

Park University’s annual Women’s History Month Lecture will feature a discussion on “Prescribing the Pill” on Monday, March 30. The lecture, to be presented by Beth Bailey, Ph.D., will begin at 3:30 p.m. in the Jenkin and Barbara David Theater inside Alumni Hall on the University’s Parkville Campus. Admission to the event is free and open to the public.

Night at the Helm 2020

Park University held its December 2019 Kansas City Area Commencement ceremony on Dec. 14 at the Community of Christ Auditorium in Independence, Mo. The University had 470 students eligible to participate in the ceremony — 259 students received a master’s degree and/or a graduate certificate, and 211 students received a bachelor’s degree, associate degree and/or undergraduate certificate. W. Ann Hansbrough, J.D., an associate circuit judge in the Circuit Court of Platte County, Mo., and a member of Park’s Board of Trustees, presented the keynote address.

Park University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
