Malmstrom AFB Graduates 2020

Park University announces its graduates from the University’s Malmstrom Air Force Base (Mont.) Campus. These graduates were scheduled to participate in a commencement ceremony on June 19 at Heritage Hall at Great Falls (Mont.) College – Montana State University, but the event was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The University had 15 students eligible to participate in the ceremony — 14 students received a bachelor’s degree and one student received an associate degree.
Gap Year Initiative

To support concerns of current college students considering taking a year off from their current college/university due to health anxieties related to the coronavirus, and as a way to ease the financial concerns of these students, Park University has launched a gap year initiative.
Scott AFB Graduates 2020

Park University announces its graduates from the University’s Scott Air Force Base (Ill.) Campus. These graduates were scheduled to participate in a commencement ceremony on June 4 at the Regency Conference Center in O’Fallon, Ill., but the event was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The University had six students eligible to participate in the ceremony — all graduates received a bachelor’s degree.
Jenna Scott Appointed Director of Professional Education and Workforce Development

Park University has appointed Jenna Scott to serve as its director of professional education and workforce development. Scott began her new role at Park on June 1.
Austin Graduates 2020

Park University announces its graduates from the University’s Austin (Texas) Campus. These graduates were scheduled to participate in a commencement ceremony on May 22 at the Great Hills Baptist Church in Austin, but the event was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The University had 58 students eligible to participate in the ceremony — seven students received a master’s degree, 48 students received a bachelor’s degree and three students received an associate degree.
Barstow Community College, Victor Valley College Graduates 2020

Park University announces its graduates from the University’s Barstow (Calif.) Community College Campus and Victor Valley College (Calif.) Campus. These graduates were scheduled to participate in a combined commencement ceremony on May 28 at the BCC Performing Arts Center, but the event was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The University had 34 students eligible to participate in the ceremony — six students received a master’s degree, 26 students received a bachelor’s degree, one student received a bachelor’s degree and undergraduate certificate, and one student received an associate degree.
May 2020 Kansas City Area Graduates Announced

Park University announces its Spring 2020 graduates from the University’s flagship Parkville Campus, as well as the Downtown Kansas City (Mo.), Independence (Mo.) and Lenexa (Kan.) campuses, and online graduates from across the region. These graduates were scheduled to participate in the University’s Kansas City Area Commencement ceremony on May 9 at the Community of Christ Auditorium in Independence, Mo., but the event was cancelled earlier in the spring due to the coronavirus pandemic. The University had 615 students eligible to graduate — 253 students received a master’s degree and/or a graduate certificate, and 362 students received a bachelor’s degree, associate degree and/or undergraduate certificate.
Youngblood Awarded Luxembourg Peace Prize

Steve Youngblood, associate professor of communication arts and director of the Center for Global Peace Journalism at Park University, has been awarded the 2020 Luxembourg Peace Prize for Outstanding Peace Journalism by the Schengen Peace Foundation and the World Peace Forum.
Honors Convocation 2020

Park University students, faculty and staff have been recognized for their exceptional scholarly efforts from the 2019-20 academic year as part of the University’s annual Honors Convocation. In addition to a number of departmental academic honors, the University acknowledged outstanding students and faculty with a variety of special awards. The event had been scheduled to be held on April 24 in Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel on the University’s Parkville Campus, but was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
