Board of Trustees Additions 2020

The governing body of Park University — its Board of Trustees — has elected two more individuals, Andrew Romer and Adelaida Severson, Ph.D., to serve three-year terms on the board, effective Aug. 28.

Constitution Day Lecture 2020

Park University’s annual Constitution Day Lecture will feature a conversation on “The 2020 U.S. General Election: Public Policy Implications in January 2021.” The discussion will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 23, starting at 3 p.m. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s Constitution Day event will be held virtually at park.edu/constitutionday.

Peacebuilding Conference 2020

Park University and its Center for Global Peace Journalism, along with Johnson County (Kan.) Community College, are co-hosting the Greater Kansas City Peacebuilding Conference. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s conference, “Building Peace Through Social Justice,” will feature eight virtual presentations spread across three months.

Hill AFB Graduates 2020

Park University announces its graduates from the University’s Hill Air Force Base (Utah) Campus. These graduates were scheduled to participate in a commencement ceremony on Aug. 1 at the Davis Conference Center in Layton, Utah, but the event was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The University had 54 students eligible to graduate — four students received a master’s degree, 43 students received a bachelor’s degree, one student received a bachelor’s degree and undergraduate certificate, and six students received an associate degree.

Washington D.C. Area Graduates 2020

Park University announces its graduates from the University’s three Washington, D.C., area campuses — Fort Myer (Va.), Headquarters Marine Corps/Headquarters Battalion Henderson Hall (Va.) and Marine Corps Base Quantico (Va.).

Park University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
