Park University’s Office of Professional Education and Workforce Development has announced the next session of its leadership program offering, ParkULeads. The interactive, virtual sessions will be held on four Fridays, February 4, 11, 18, and March 4, from 8:30 to 10 a.m.

Fall 2021 KC Area Commencement

Adelaida Severson, Ph.D., president and chief executive officer of Bushtex Inc., an international satellite communications firm in Gilbert, Ariz., will present the keynote address during Park University’s Kansas City Area Fall Commencement on Saturday, Dec. 11. The ceremony, the University’s first in-person commencement since December 2019 due to the coronavirus pandemic, will be held at the Community of Christ Auditorium in Independence, Mo., starting at 10 a.m.

Constitution Day 2021 Event Rescheduled
November 19, 2021
Park University’s annual Constitution Day event, which was originally scheduled to be held on Sept. 27, but was postponed due to a power outage, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 30. The event will feature a screening of the film “Confounding Father: A Contrarian View of the U.S. Constitution” starting at 3 p.m. in the Jenkin and Barbara David Theater inside Alumni Hall on the University’s Parkville Campus. Admission is free and open to the public.

Brimage Appointed Gilbert Campus VP

Yira Brimage has been appointed to serve as the vice president of Park University’s Gilbert (Ariz.) Campus, effective Nov. 15, 2021.

International Festival 2021

In celebration of International Education Week, Park University’s Office of International Student Services will host its annual International Festival on Friday, Nov. 19. The event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. in the University’s Park Avenue area within the Academic Underground on the Parkville Campus. Admission to the festival is free and open to the public.
