Park University to Offer Two New Degree Options
March 21, 2019 — When Park University’s Fall 2019 semester starts on Monday, Aug. 19, it will offer two new degree options — a Master of Arts in National Security Studies and a cybersecurity concentration in the Bachelor of Science Information and Computer Science program. In addition, the University has added three graduate certificates and five undergraduate certificates.
Here is a brief look at the two new degree offerings:
• The Master of Arts in National Security Studies degree will prepare students for work as analysts, policymakers and scholars focused on security issues in the 21st century. Courses will include instruction in international relations, U.S. national security policy, arms control and disarmament, terrorism and unconventional warfare, geo-economics and environmental security, international law, regional security issues and cybersecurity. The degree program will be offered online.
• The cybersecurity concentration in the Bachelor of Science in Information and Computer Science degree targets to train future security experts. The program will introduce a series of courses, covering skills and knowledge needed in related fields, such as cryptography, computer system security, network security, web security, secure programming, security management, digital forensics, and ethical hacking and countermeasures. This program will be offered online, at the Parkville Campus and at other Park campuses across the country. In addition, Park will offer three new graduate certificates in business analytics, marketing and public accounting, and five new undergraduate certificates in diversity and social justice, entrepreneurialism, personal finance, project management and unmanned aircraft systems/drones.
