Park University Announces Winners of Competitive Academic Scholarships

March 8, 2022 — Park University has announced the recipients of competitive academic scholarships. These scholarships were awarded to current high school seniors who are expected to enroll in college starting with the Fall 2022 semester.

The most prestigious Park University academic scholarship given is the Presidential Honors Scholarship. This award, traditionally given to two incoming freshmen, covers full tuition and room and board for four years, as well as the opportunity for a study abroad semester. The 2022 Presidential Honors Scholarship has been presented to:
          •  Nina Distasio, Liberty (Mo.) High School
          •  Diana Perez, Sumner Academy of Arts and Science, Kansas City, Kan.

The McAfee Scholarship, given to up to 15 incoming freshmen, provides full tuition for four years, as well as the opportunity for a study abroad semester. The McAfee Scholarship has been awarded to the following 11 students:
          •  Brett Breshears, Lee’s Summit (Mo.) West High School
          •  Estrella Hernandez, Lincoln College Preparatory Academy, Kansas City, Mo.
          •  Regan Hudson, Staley High School, Kansas City, Mo.
          •  Ryan Kramer, Park Hill South High School, Riverside, Mo.
          •  Olivia Lang, Brighton Academy, Overland Park, Kan.
          •  Connor Menzie, Blue Springs (Mo.) High School
          •  Lynh Nguyen, North Kansas City (Mo.) High School
          •  Aubrey Petty, Liberty (Mo.) High School
          •  Augustina Rosales, Bishop Ward High School, Kansas City, Kan.
          •  Ailey Stafford, Oak Park High School, Kansas City, Mo.
          •  Audrey Verge, Rogers (Ark.) Heritage High School

The Park Trustee Scholarship provides incoming freshmen with a $7,500 award toward tuition for four years. This scholarship was awarded to the following nine students:
          •  Grace Brandner, Blue Springs (Mo.) High School
          •  Dana Gloe, Brighton Academy, Overland Park, Kan.
          •  Malena Hamilton, Staley High School, Kansas City, Mo.
          •  Mya Lewis, Park Hill High School, Kansas City, Mo.
          •  Charity Moua, Sumner Academy of Arts and Science, Kansas City, Kan.
          •  Sheyla Pacheco-Erazo, Sumner Academy of Arts and Science, Kansas City, Kan.
          •  Manuel Reyes, Lincoln College Preparatory Academy, Kansas City, Mo.
          •  Mallory Sole, Trenton (Mo.) High School
          •  Chloe Stachowski, Staley High School, Kansas City, Mo.
