The Office of Residence Life and Education provides students with year-round enhanced living experiences, social activities and intellectual engagement. These opportunities are facilitated by the staff in Residence Life and Education, including a Resident Assistant living on your floor. Resident Assistants work throughout the year with students to coordinate activities, services, events and leadership opportunities on campus.
Move-in day at Park is called “All Hands on Deck,” the beginning of the residential experience for most students. This includes an “All Halls” meeting to introduce important resources to enhance the residential experience. Attendance is required. During the meeting, residents learn about policies, important health and safety information and details about upcoming programs. The “All Halls” meeting will be held in the evening following move-in.
Residence Life and Education also hosts The Honors Academy Residential Learning Community.
The Residence Hall Council is another great opportunity for residents to gain important skills, voice concerns, plan programs and help manage the Residence Hall Council budget.
Through programs, connections and a multitude of interactions, Residence Life and Education focuses on several main themes throughout the year:
- Intercultural experiences
- Extra-curricular intellectual opportunities
- Personal goals
- Social experiences
- Holistic well-being.
