What You’ll Learn
Our degrees offer an in-depth understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of the criminal justice system across, public and private domains. Our core curriculum covers criminal law, agency administration, criminology, criminal procedures, and more. Plus, you’ll have access to three career-building concentrations and two certificates to help customize your education for your future goals.
Criminal Justice Concentrations
Gain an understanding of the history and development of law enforcement, especially in the United States; as well as the nature and purpose of criminal investigations, tools employed, and techniques in the reconstruction of criminal activity.
Explore the multi-faceted approach to corrections in our society including alternatives and adjuncts to incarceration, including probation, parole and diversion programs.
Learn the principles of security, loss prevention and asset protection. Examine topics including risk analysis, physical security, safety, accident prevention and the threat environment from the historical and modern-day perspectives.
Criminal Justice Certificates
Through both theoretical and practical approaches, students establish a foundation for effective problem identification and solution management related to evolving terrorist threats and the protection of national interests.
The mission of the UAS Certificate is to prepare students to become Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified small Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Remote Drone Pilots, trained to conduct safe, legal, and effective aerial flight operations within the National Airspace System.
