At Park University, our Minor in Urban and Regional Planning program is designed for students who want to become actively engaged in land-use planning and processes. Students in this program will pursue basic study in subjects such as urban geography and environmental planning to pursue further advanced study or careers in the field.
As a student in our Minor in Urban and Regional Planning program, you’ll be required to take face-to-face classes at our Parkville, Missouri campus and/or online. This minor requires a total of 18 completed credit hours, and students must maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. The Urban and Regional Planning program at Park University draws from many disciplines to provide students with a broad knowledge and understanding of the social, environmental and political aspects of land-use planning. After acquiring this fundamental knowledge, students may go on to pursue a more advanced degree that can lead to careers in urban development, environmental conservation and other related areas of planning.
