At Park University, our Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree program provides students with the opportunity to become informed and participative citizens who can help cope with problems in modern politics. The degree also seeks to prepare well-rounded students for both careers in the public sector and further study in graduate school.
As a student in our Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree program, you will take face-to-face classes at our Parkville, Missouri campus. Select courses also are available online.
The Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree requires a minimum of 122 completed credit hours, including 36 hours of degree-specific core curriculum and approved electives, depending on your concentration, all designed to help you develop strong analytical skills. While pursuing the Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree, you may choose from one of two areas of concentration to study: American Politics or International Politics, depending on your area of interest. You will also have an opportunity to develop your research skills through your senior thesis and experience the practical application of the skills you have learned in the classroom through an internship.
