Our Master of Arts (M.A.) in Communication and Leadership program is designed for professionals who want to build upon their skills, advance to a new position or pursue a doctorate. In this M.A. Communications and Leadership program, you’ll develop the communication, interpersonal and organizational skills that leading organizations seek.
Note: Students must be admitted by both the Department of Communication Arts and the Park University School for Graduate and Professional Studies. A student who is accepted pending receipt of all required documentation, must submit complete and satisfactory records within 60 days (45 days in an 8-week session and/or summer term) after the first day of registration.

As an M.A. Communications program student, you’ll become an exceptional communicator, a creative thinker and an influential leader in a global society. This communications degree combines the practical and theoretical knowledge you need to succeed in corporate and nonprofit settings, the military, government, politics or other arenas. You’ll also develop the research and writing skills necessary for doctoral work.
In this leadership and communication master’s program, you’ll learn the history of leadership perspectives and explore the communication styles and values of different cultures. You’ll learn to resolve organizational issues and improve decision-making, as well as to develop a framework for ethical conduct in the organizations you serve.
As you approach graduation, you’ll complete a capstone course consisting of a thesis or a graduate project, as well as an oral defense of your work.
You can complete this M.A. Communications entirely online, face-to-face, or through a mix of the two. In-person classes offer you true immersion in a subject, often sparked by the group synergy in a seminar. You’ll benefit from the interaction with your fellow graduate students and professors.
Online leadership and communication graduate program courses offer around-the-clock, around-the-world access. For students in the military, working parents or busy professionals, our online M.A. Communications degree program offers an alternative to traditional university graduate programs. Your instructors provide individualized instruction and guidance for all coursework, both online and on campus.
