At Park University, our Management Information Systems Graduate Certificate program is designed to give students exposure to varying information systems and how these technologies are used to improve workflow and influence the overall culture of the workplace and projects within organizations. Through the study of data analytics, database management and information security, this certificate equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to get ahead.
As a student pursuing our Graduate Certificate in Management Information Systems, you’ll have the option of taking classes at our Parkville, Missouri campus, at our downtown Kansas City campus, at campus centers nationwide and/or online. This certificate requires completion of 12 credit hours with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Students pursuing a graduate certificate must also have earned a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college, or university or its foreign equivalent. In the information systems management program at our College of Management, you will be exposed to concepts and applications of data analytics, the big data life cycle and any processes associated with project management for system architecture. Students will learn these concepts through the study of information security and risk management, management information systems, database management systems, as well as data analysis and business analytics.
