Our Sport and Exercise Science program has been approved and is now recognized through the National Strength and Conditioning Association’s (NSCA) Education Recognition Program (ERP).
NSCA approval and recognition affirms our program’s commitment to quality in the training of Certified Personal Trainers and Certified Strength and Conditioning Coaches (CSCC).
At Park University, our Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Science degree program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to promote physical health for oneself and those around them. Students in this program will learn how to enhance their overall quality of life by coaching others to live healthier lifestyles.
As a student in our Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Science program, you will be able to take face-to-face classes at our Parkville, Missouri and Gilbert, Arizona campuses. Students who choose to pursue a minor in fitness and wellness may take classes in Parkville and Online.
The Bachelor of Science degree requires a minimum of 120 completed credit hours, including 53 hours of degree-specific core curriculum and approved electives. The minor in Sport and Exercise Science requires 19 hours of degree-specific curriculum courses. Refer to your catalog for a complete listing of coursework for this degree.

When you pursue the Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Science degree, you will be given the opportunity to take advanced-level courses and practice in the field. Courses in such subjects as exercise science, human nutrition and kinesiology will equip you with the knowledge needed to pursue a career in the field, and the experience attained in the Sport and Exercise Science internship requirement will provide you with the real-world experience to practice in the field.
