Our Programs will prepare you for a career as a:
Biology is a science that includes many sub-fields, and there are opportunities for students with many aptitudes, backgrounds and career objectives. This BA in Biology degree is a strong foundation in a wide range of biological sciences. Research projects and internship components enhance your biological science courses and laboratory work. Because of the breadth of specialties in biology, we suggest that you earn an additional major or a minor for maximum employment flexibility.
Our department partners with local businesses and government agencies to place students into internship positions appropriate to their interests.
Any students interested in biological sciences are encouraged to join the Park Biology Club, a University-recognized, student-run organization that brings students and faculty together in contact outside the classroom. You also might join Omicron Psi, our campus chapter of Beta Beta Beta (TriBeta), an honor society for students studying biology. Additionally, students interested in a career in the pre-health field are encouraged to join the Park Pre-Health Professions Club, which promotes student volunteer experiences and aids in the post-graduate acceptance process.
