Philosophy Minor
Exploring the fundamental questions that underlie human thought and behavior.
At Park University, our Minor in Philosophy program is designed for students wishing to advance their knowledge of philosophical and ethical thinking, as well as the fundamentals of logic and other areas of philosophy. With the foundations in philosophy covered in this program, students can apply the knowledge to a more advanced degree.
Locations & Learning Options
As a student in our Minor in Philosophy program, you’ll be required to take face-to-face classes at our Parkville, Missouri campus and/or online. This minor requires a total of 18 completed credit hours, and students must maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale. Program Highlights
The Minor in Philosophy at Park University, offered at the School of Humanities, is ideal for students interested in exploring the fundamental questions which underlie human existence. In this program, you may delve into areas of philosophy that relate to the meaning of life—through reading and discussion of the contributions of philosophers, religious prophets, poets, and writers. Students may also explore the subjects of the philosophy of love and sex, environmental and animal ethics, as well as aesthetics and existentialism.
