Concert Featuring Ioudenitch Father-Daughter Duo to Close Out Park University International Center for Music Season
April 11, 2025 — The 2024-25 concert season finale for the Park University International Center for Music will showcase the father-daughter duo of pianist Stanislav Ioudenitch and violinist Maria Ioudenitch on Wednesday, May 7, starting at 7:30 p.m. at the 1900 Building in Mission Woods, Kan.
A unique family affair concert, the Ioudenitch pair perform with exceptional musical chemistry. The program for the concert is scheduled to include:
• “Violin Sonata No. 10 in G Major, Op. 96,” composed by Ludwig van Beethoven
• “Violin and Piano Sonata No. 2,” composed by Maurice Ravel
• “Deux Morceaux,” composed by Lili Boulanger
• “Violin Sonata No. 1,” composed by Béla Bartók
Widely regarded for his strong individuality and musical conviction, Stanislav Ioudenitch’s artistry helped him to the gold medal and the Steven De Groote Memorial Award for best performance of chamber music at the 11th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition (Fort Worth, Texas) in 2001. The founder and artistic director of the Park ICM, who is praised for his technical brilliance and profound musical insight, Ioudenitch is also a founding member of the Park Piano Trio. Maria Ioudenitch has been successful in her own right, having won a trio of first prizes in 2021 at the Ysaÿe International Music Competition (Liège, Belgium), the Tibor Varga International Violin Competition (Sion, Switzerland) and the Joseph Joachim International Competition (Hanover, Germany). Her first album, “Songbird” (Warner Classics, March 2023), with pianist Kenny Broberg (Park ICM 2021 master’s degree graduate), was declared by The Arts Fuse with “results are touching but never forced, a marriage of heart and intellect that serves the performers and the composer exceedingly well.” Prior to completing a professional studies program at the Kronberg Academy (Germany), she earned a master’s degree and artist diploma from the New England Conservatory of Music (Boston), and a bachelor’s degree from the Curtis Institute of Music (Philadelphia). In addition, Ioudenitch studied with Ben Sayevich in Park University’s Youth Conservatory for Music. Read more about Ioudenitch at mariaioudenitch.com/about.
