Irven and NeVada Linscomb Scholarship

Support for a scholarship program to benefit graduating students that are attending identified higher educational institutions in the Northland. This scholarship program will include funding one-half the cost of fifteen hours plus related fees for in-state tuition for respected institutions. The scholarship is automatically renewable, if the recipient meets the academic performance standards, for a maximum of four years. One student will be selected each year for each institution.

Qualified Institutions:

  • Park University
  • William Jewell
  • Maple Woods

Qualifications:

  • Graduated from North Kansas City High School or Liberty High School (priority is given to NKCHS students)
  • Demonstrate significant financial need which has resulted from events which are outside the control of the recipient and the family
  • Work in the work-study program, and shall be required to work no less than ten nor more than fifteen hours per week in such program
  • Graduate from high school with no less than a 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale, or equivalent, if the recipient’s high school uses some other scale
  • Demonstrate leadership skills and a solid work ethic during the recipients four years of high school education.
