Recyclemania!

Recyclemania 2011 is here on the Parkville Campus from February 7th-April 2nd, 2011.

The PSGA Environmental Affairs Committee, in partnership with students of the LS 100 class and the Environmental Services Department, will be responsible for coordinating Park University's participation. However, everybody is welcome to join this ever growing team at any time.

Recyclemania (www.recyclemania.org) is a nationwide competition for colleges and universities to recycle as much as possible during a two month period. Here is how all green Pirates can participate:

• Dorm Recycling Competition- Chestnut vs. Copley Quad (ongoing from now until April 2nd)

• Video contest

• Volunteer trash pickup - Contact Randy Bailey

• Sculpture contest - Make art using recyclables and win one of many exciting prizes

• Dumpster Diving

There will be an informational booth in the Milsap Foyer every other week, starting on February 8th, 2011. Here you can learn more about our exciting upcoming events, recycling in general and you will get a chance to sign an “I recycle” pledge that will not only help reduce your personal waste, but will also allow us to plant another tree on the Parkville campus!!
