Park University and the U.S. Office of Personnel Management have announced that Park has joined the Federal Academic Alliance, an academic agreement to provide discounted tuition for federal employees nationwide, along with their spouses/domestic partners and dependents. Those eligible can receive a discount equivalent to Park’s military veteran tuition rate, as well as have the University’s application fee waived.
Park’s participation in the Alliance supports a continued nationwide effort to close skills gaps, increases federal employees’ access to high-quality, affordable educational resources, and further develops and sustains the federal workforce.
Founded in 1875, Park University serves traditional and nontraditional students in day, weekend and evening programs. The University is one of the largest providers of educational degree programs to the U.S. Department of Defense.
“Our commitment to educating federal employees and strengthening public service spans decades,” said Park University President Greg Gunderson, Ph.D. “We are proud to count two past presidents of the American Society for Public Administration and two fellows of the National Academy of Public Administration among our faculty and staff.”
“At Park University, our goal is to make it as easy and as inexpensive as possible for a student to complete their degree and to build upon their educational and occupational success,” said Shane Smeed, vice president and chief operating officer. “That’s why we offer many choices of term lengths, class times, locations and face-to-face, online or blended learning options for completing our degree programs.”
