Lorraine Moore has been appointed as a development director within the Office of University Relations and Development
at Park University. She began her duties at Park today. In her position, Moore will cultivate relationships and partnerships with alumni, friends and organizations that lead to the support of students, programs and projects at the University.
Moore joins Park after serving as a development officer the past year at DeLaSalle Education Center, Kansas City, Mo. She has additional fundraising experience as a community resource consultant with the United Way of Greater Kansas City, and as a volunteer event co-chair and registration chair for the March of Dimes March for Babies event for more than 30 years.
Moore has also worked for a number of other companies/organizations in the Kansas City region during her career. Prior to joining DeLaSalle, Moore was the manager of corporate training and orientation for the Kansas City Transportation Group. She also worked at H&R Block in client services, and in the media center for the North Kansas City (Mo.) School District. In addition, she spent 13 years in the telecommunications industry as an account manager at AT&T, and as a national sales trainer, program manager sales director and manager of training at Sprint.
A graduate of William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo., with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Spanish and history, Moore serves as president for her alma mater’s Alumni Board of Governors. In addition, Moore is a certified tourism ambassador through Visit KC.
