Park University has partnered with the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy to offer master’s degree programs at the Fort Bliss (Texas) Campus Center, with classes beginning in the fall semester. Park, which has served the El Paso community since 1975 at Fort Bliss, and most recently at the University’s newest location on the east side of town, will offer USASMA students the Master of Arts in Communication and Leadership degree program and the Master of Healthcare Administration degree program.
Students attending the USASMA are senior non-commissioned officers with 10 to 12 years of service, and are competitively selected for admission. The USASMA is the senior military educational opportunity for these students.
“Park University was approached by the academic director at USASMA in May, and in less than three months, we had two master’s level degree programs designed and approved for Fall I 2015,” said Bill Lawson, director of academic expansion strategy. “This attests to Park’s dedication to increasing enrollment through expansion efforts nationwide, and most importantly, Park’s commitment to serve our brave men and women in uniform.”
