Park University, in conjunction with The Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council, will host a “Unity Within Diversity” discussion on Wednesday, April 22, starting at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Meetin’ House on the University’s Parkville Campus. The event is free and open to the public.
The dialogue will include a trio of panelists: Matt Rice, GKCIC Buddhism director; Mahnaz Shabbir, GKCIC Islam director at-large and adjunct instructor of healthcare administration at Park; and Barry Speert, GKCIC Judaism director at-large. The panelists will present an overview of their respective faiths and their work in the community promoting diversity appreciation and awareness, followed by a question-and-answer session.
