Pax Christi Club

What is Pax Christi?

A Catholic-based peace movement.

Who can join?

It’s open to anyone — regardless of religion. If you are Catholic or curious about the Catholic religion, this is the club for you.

What do you do?

At our meetings we start with reading the Gospel for the day. We talk about it, what it means, how it applies to us, and what we can do to live it. We also discuss our service project and what we need to do for that. We often have guest speakers from St. Therese parish and other Catholic organizations.

What is a service project?

Catholics believe in serving others and giving your time, talent and treasure to help others. Currently, we have chosen the Wyandotte County Pregnancy Center as our service project. They have a bathroom there that needs to be painted and decorated so that their pregnant clients have a place to shower and relax. Once that project is finished, we as a group will choose another project.

I’d like to go to Mass but have to way to get there.

Not a problem. St. Therese has people who are willing to come to Park University to pick up you up to take you to Mass and then back again. We just need to let them know you need a ride.
