constructed for use by all Park University Faculty in planning service learning projects for their classes.

faculty syllabi incorporating service learning; helpful links to abundant SL information and research
to support their own research and writing about SL; and a database of Kansas City and Parkville area

for service learners, i.e. training, background checks; examples of individual projects and year round
efforts requiring volunteers; all contact information; the availability of internships; and a suggestion
of academic majors for which individual opportunities might apply. However, listings are not limited to
majors in the fields to which they relate.
History In the fall semester of 2007, the Park University Honors Program adopted a service-learning initiative,
whereby all freshmen Program students will complete 24 hours per semester of volunteer activities in their
communities. This website will aid all Parkville campus faculty in finding service learning partners.
