Sample Journal Entries – HN303, HN304 and HN400
Each student enrolled in HN303, HN304 and HN400 must submit a minimum of ten progress reports throughout each semester. After each meeting with the mentor, either face-to-face or electronically, the progress report form should be completed, saved, and emailed to the mentor, with a copy to the Honors Program director. They act as a progress report, and, thus, cannot be saved to submit as a group at semester’s end. The thoroughly completed progress reports account for 10% of each student’s grade. The mentor and director should not have to remind students to submit the reports.
Please see below for sample entries. You will note that monthly goals may remain the same or change throughout the semester. While these examples reflect the previous course label of HN302, content remains applicable to the course structure of HN303 and HN304.
