Transfer of Graduate Credit

No more than (9) hours of the required credits toward a degree program may be transferred from another academic institution to a Master's degree program at Park University. Transfer is granted only after an evaluation of the appropriateness of the courses by the Program Director. Other criteria that must be met in order for credits to be considered are:

• Transfer course content is appropriate to the program
• The transfer credit is earned from a regionally accredited institution of higher education, or its equivalent, if the institution is a foreign university or college
• The grade earned in the course is "B" or better
• The credits were not used for a previous degree
• The credit will not be more than seven years old, at the time of graduation from a master's program, or more than 10 years old at the time of graduation from a doctoral program
• The credits earned are clearly at the graduate level
• The transfer credit must be requested prior to acceptance into the program, unless otherwise approved by the Program Director.

NOTE: Students must request transfer credits during the admissions process. Students must submit official transcripts, course description(s), and a rationale for what course(s) they would like to replace.
