PARK FAMILY FUN DAY
September 29, 2012 :: 11:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Arrrgh! Polish up on yer "pirate lingo" an' don't be a scallywag, or ye'll find yersef walkin' th' plank! Make plans now to visit Park University's Parkville Campus on Saturday, September 29, for the Park Pirate Family Fun Day. The event will be held near the Julian Soccer Field of the University, located at 8700 N.W. River Park Drive, from 11:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch served from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., cost is $10 per adult, $5 for children 12 & under.

The event, being held in celebration of the annual Harvest Fest Week and Alumni Weekend, will include a number of pirate-themed activities, including pirate caricatures, face painting, an inflatable bounce house and pirate ship, Pirate Test of Strength (sumo wrestling) and food. A number of University student organizations are sponsoring the various activities.

Tables will include clubs and organizations providing crafts -- from creating pirate hats and pirate tattoos to taking pictures with pirate cut-outs.
