Professor of English
Brian Shawver is a Professor of English and Chair of the Department of English and Modern Languages. He holds a BA degree from the University of Kansas and an MFA degree from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop at the University of Iowa, and he has previously taught at Boston University and Missouri State University. He is the author of the novels The Cuban Prospect and Aftermath, the nonfiction books The Language of Fiction and Danger on the Page, and several works of short fiction.
