From April 1 through May 31, 2014, the public is welcome to view the George Shepard Park exhibit highlighting events in Park’s life, including the destruction of his printing press, thrown in the Missouri River by a pro-slavery mob on April 14, 1855. Original documents, newspapers, photographs, artifacts and furniture from Park University’s Frances Fishburn Archives and Special Collections will be on display; many of the items have never before been exhibited.
