Shin Yu Pai is the author of Adamantine (White Pine Press, 2010), Haiku Not Bombs (Booklyn Artists Alliance, 2008), Works on Paper (Convivio Bookworks, 2007), Sightings: Selected Works, 2000-2005 (1913 Press, 2007), The Love Hotel Poems (Press Lorentz, 2006), Unnecessary Roughness (xPress (ed), 2005), and Equivalence (La Alameda, 2003). Her work is anthologized in America Zen: A Gathering of Poets (Bottom Dog Press) and The Wisdom Anthology of North American Buddhist Poetry (Wisdom Publications). Her work has been commissioned twice by the Dallas Museum of Art and is part of the Poetry-in-Motion program in Dallas. She is a member of the Macondo Writers Workshop. Her art will also be on display at the American Jazz Museum in Kansas City where she will perform.

Dr. Denise Low-Weso, former Kansas Poet Laureate, has published over 20 books of poetry and essays, including Ghost Stories of the New West (Woodley), named one of the best Native American Books of 2010 by The Circle of Minneapolis and a Kansas Notable Book. Low is a 5th generation Kansan of mixed German, British, Lenape (Delaware), and Cherokee heritage and earned an MFA from Wichita State University and a PhD is from the University of Kansas. She teaches in the Baker University School of Professional and Graduate Studies, freelances, and consults. She has taught at Haskell Indian Nations University, the University of Kansas, and the University of Richmond. She is a 2008-2013 board member of the Associated Writers and Writing Programs, which she has served as president. Low has received awards from the Academy of American Poets, The Newberry Library, the Lannan Foundation, the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Kansas Arts Council, the Sequoyah National Research Center, and the Kansas Center for the Book. She is currently at work on a USA Artists project, The Lenape Code: Explorations in Delaware Arts, about the continuity of Algonquin traditions across time and geographies.

Gary Jackson was born in Topeka, Kansas. Missing You, Metropolis, which won the CaveCanem Poetry Prize, is his first book published. However, he has had other works published in inscape, Literary Bohemian, Magma, and others. According to the judge who selected Jackson's work to receive the Cave Canem prize, Yusef Komunyakaa,"Gary Jackson's Missing you, Metropolis embodies and underscores a voice uniquely shaped and tuned for the 21st century. Playful, jaunty and highly serious…the collection is gauged by a sophisticated heart. Pathos breathes within and slightly underneath the visual comedy, and this quality is the true genius of Missing you, Metropolis.” Jackson recieved his Masters of Fine Arts degree from the University of New Mexico in 2008.
