Course Description: AR 496 Graphic Design Senior Seminar and Portfolio: The capstone course of the major provides an intense investigation of the design and production of the professional portfolio including marketing techniques, format, binding, layout, and reproduction. The portfolio documents the students development as a designer and forms his or her main professional credential in preparation for the transition to professional practice. A copy of each portfolio will be retained in the Office of the Program Coordinator of Graphic Design. A second concentration of the course is the development of effective graphic design interfaces for Web page design in projects that combine text, images, sound and interactivity to Web presentations.
