Terrorism and Homeland Security

Online courses are offered in 8-week terms 5 times a year to help you achieve your educational goals in a flexible and academically stimulating format.

Requirements for Admission

To enter this online Terrorism and Homeland Security Certificate program, a student must meet the following conditions:

  • Earned high school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • a cumulative 2.0 GPA in all previous college study
  • Completion of the Application for Admission and payment of the application fee.

Core Curriculum: (Must complete both courses)

  • CJ 233 Introduction to Security (3 credit hours)
  • CJ 251 Terrorism and Domestic Preparedness (3 credit hours)

Elective Courses: (Select 2 of the following courses)

  • CJ 353 Emergency Management (3 credit hours)
  • CJ 355 Homeland Security (3 credit hours)
  • GGH 310 Geography of Terrorism (3 credit hours)

A total of 12 credit hours are required for certification completion, and a 3.0 GPA.

TOTAL: 12 credits
