Meet your Admissions Staff
Suzan Ann Kelley-Corcione
My name is Suzan Ann Kelley-Corcione the office manager of Admissions. I am responsible for the daily operations of the Admissions department.
I am originally from New York and move to Kansas City 20 years ago with my husband. We love the Parkville area and love the history of Park University. We now reside in Kansas City with our 2 children ages 11 and 13. Both are looking forward to the day when they can attend Park.
I am working on a degree in Social Work here at Park University. I love being a student after all these years.
Thanks for visiting our web site and I look forward to speaking to you!
Leticia Cortez
I hope you have enjoyed our virtual tour so far!
My name is Leticia Cortez, I am one of the Regional Admission Coordinators here to assist you through the admissions process and whatever else you may need help with. Park University is a wonderful place to live and learn. One the unique assets of Park University is that it’s a small private university, but it also offers great diversity and culture. This is one of the reasons I love it here! I am originally from El Salvador and I can appreciate the diversity Park has to offer. I am also an alum, I graduated with a Bachelors of Art in Communications, which I truly enjoyed studying!!! I wish you the best in your decision making about your college career!
Thank you for taking the time to get to know the admissions team.
Enjoy the rest of the virtual tour!
Aigul Marler
My name is Aigul Marler. I was born and raised in Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan is a country in west central Asia. My country was a part of the Soviet Union for almost 70 years and it gained its independence in 1991.
I earned my BA in Elementary Education and minor in music from my country. I taught children in grades 1 through 4 for three years before I decided to come to America. Later, I attended State Fair Community College in Jefferson City, Missouri.
I joined Park University as an Admissions Specialist in October of 2003. I perform a variety of duties, some of which include the receipt of official documents. I ensure that they are scanned into our online document system for others to review. I like my job and the people I work with. Working at Park University is fun because I’ve met many people and have made many friends from a variety of countries.
It’s always hard to find the time to do everything that I enjoy but I do try to fit in the time for my favorite hobbies such as cooking, reading, traveling and shopping. I also love camping and especially in the fall because the weather is so beautiful and the air is so fresh.
My love for nature works well with my life here on campus. We are very fortunate to be surrounded by much natural beauty on campus as well as in the surrounding Parkville area. We have many trees, sloping hills and the beauty of the Missouri River flowing by. I am sure that after visiting our wonderful campus, you will decide to attend our university because there will be no better place to study!
Gina Mumpower-Turner
First of all, thank you for taking time to check out our website and for considering Park University as an option for your post-secondary education!
Among other things, I am the transfer coordinator for Park University. You might also hear me referred to as an “Admissions Counselor.” I visit 2-year schools, hoping to speak to potential students who are interested in pursuing their bachelor's degree in the near future. Although I primarily speak to transfer students, I will be MORE than happy to speak to anyone who is interested in attending Park University. Feel free to call me at 816-584-6218. You can set up an appointment with me, and I'll show you around our awesome campus.
In 1998 I graduated from Liberty Senior High School and in the fall of 2002 I graduated from Missouri Western State College (now university) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and a minor in Music. I began my career here at Park University in October of 2003 and truly enjoy helping our students.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing with my two cats: Col. Mustard and Miss White. My husband and I love to cook and try new recipes. Every time we invite people over they’re always excited to see what’s on the menu! I also play the Bassoon. I began playing the flute when I was in the 6th grade, and I switched to the Bassoon in the 8th grade. I have been playing it ever since. I tend to think that the instrument has a personality of its own, but I guess that is what makes playing it so interesting.
Again, if you have any question or problems, please don't hesitate to give me a call. I am here to help YOU in anyway that I can!
