Offered face-to-face on the Parkville campus, in the Kansas City area as an accelerated program, online, and as an extended learning program on select campuses.
The Bachelor of Science in Education - Education Studies program offers the following four areas of emphasis:
- Young Child (birth through grade 3)
- Youth (grade 1 through grade 6)
- Early Childhood Education and Leadership - Prepares graduates for positions of responsibility and leadership in accredited programs, Head Start programs, child care centers, private preschools, and family child care.
- Early Childhood Education Teaching Young Children - Prepares graduates for positions of teaching or curriculum coordinators in accredited programs, Head Start programs, early childhood centers, private preschools, and family child care centers, or with programs such as Parents as Teachers.
This degree requires a minimum of 120 total credit hours to graduate
and does NOT lead to teaching certification.
