About Interlibrary LoanMaterials typically arrive in 5-7 business days. Usually there is no charge (you will be contacted if there is). You will be notified by an interlibrary loan staff member when the item arrives.
Books and articles are checked out to your library account and left at the circulation desk for pick up. Distance-education students will receive materials at their indicated mailing address.
Loan time is usually 4 weeks although this varies from library to library. Some libraries allow renewal but not all. Contact a Park interlibrary loan staff member at (816) 584-6283 if you wish to renew.
Borrowers are responsible for all loaned materials. Fees will be assessed for overdue, lost or damaged items. Unreturned items and unpaid fees will result in holds on University transcripts.
Copyright NoticeThe copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material.
Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specific conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship or research."
If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of fair use, that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
RenewalsCall (816) 584-6285 or send an email to email@example.com to renew books or articles. Materials may be renewed twice unless another user has requested them. The renewal period will be the same as the original loan period except for undergraduates whose extension is 3 weeks.
RecallsMaterials are loaned for 2 weeks and then can be recalled by another user. If recalled by another user, the materials must be returned within one week of notification. Please contact our service if you want to be placed on a waiting list for a book on loan to another user.
