Nursing -Clinical Adjunct Faculty ***New Posting***
The Nursing Program at Park University has 2-4 openings for Clinical Adjunct instructors for the 2013-2014 academic year. Clinical Adjunct faculty members are valued members of the Nursing Program team. They are responsible for facilitating student learning processes during the provision of patient care, grading assessments of student learning, and collaborating with other faculty members and nursing unit staff to assure safety and quality in student clinical course work.
Fall clinical openings include Medical Surgical and Mental Health rotations. Clinical rotations are scheduled for either Tuesday or Thursday and are 9 hours each week during day shift hours. Medical Surgical rotations are in the Kansas City area and Mental Health rotation openings are in St. Joseph, MO. Spring openings include Maternal Newborn (OB) and Med Surg / Leadership. Clinical rotations are scheduled for either Tuesday or Thursday and are 12 hours each week during day shift hours. OB rotations will be located in St. Joseph, MO and Med Surg / Leadership rotations are in the Kansas City area.
Requirements include a Masters Degree in Nursing or a BSN with current enrollment and evidence of progression in a Masters Degree program, undisciplined licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri, current American Heart Association BLS certification for Health Care Providers, and evidence of required immunizations for clinical faculty members. Experience in the clinical area of interest required. The Park University MPA program, housed in the Hauptmann School for Public Affairs, is seeking qualified part-time adjunct faculty to teach at the Downtown Kansas City campus and online. Successful candidates must demonstrate expertise in one of the following areas: qualitative and quantitative research or economics and global strategy. Candidates must be willing to teach both face-to-face and online.
Responsibilities/Duties: The essential job functions and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: instructing and grading class coursework, assigning final grades, and if necessary maintaining regularly scheduled office hours to meet with students.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate(s) will possess a Ph.D. in public administration, public affairs or a related discipline from an accredited university with several years of teaching experience. Candidates applying for an adjunct position to teach in the area of economics and global strategy must have a Ph.D. in economics. Additionally, candidates must be well organized, professional, and have strong communication skills. Teaching experience at the college level is highly recommended.

Duties:
Adjunct pool faculty is hired to teach finance classes. Areas of interests: Entrepreneurial Finance, Investment, International Finance, Corporate Finance, and Financial Derivatives. Adjunct pool faculty hiring is based on student demand.
Qualification:
M.S. in Finance with three years of documented work experiences in finance or demonstrated record of teaching effectiveness in university level classes. Preference will be given to those who have Ph.D./ABD degrees from a regionally accredited university in the fields of Finance or Financial Economics and have an extensive and a strong commitment to teaching excellence.
